I won!
I posted a shaker card a few post back with a digital image from Wink Wink Ink, and Guess what, I won!! First time ever wining anything on blogs. Yeah! I went shopping for my $15.00 prize, so it was hard since there are a few images I like but wasn't sure I would ever use them. I can't wait to play with them. I also seen they are getting ready for a 1 year anniversary later this week. So, I'll keep checking to see what kind of fun these ladies come up with. Congrats! Off to do some cleaning and organizing some more, never ending! Ginger

Catching up!
Hope you all are good! Are you all getting ready for Christmas? Doesn't seem like Christmas yet to me. Guess it isn't yet! We still have to put up our tree maybe this week or this weekend for sure. We made all our cookies Saturday and buckeyes but hubby ran out of gas to dip them. So for now they are naked! He said tonight he'd get them dressed. I say this it loads of work and won't do them without his help. We will see. Been snowing for a few days but not hard. It was melting away as fast as it cam down until yesterday. We are starting to get a little snow and slippery roads. I could do without both.
I wanted to let you know about the awesome Grab Bag from the wonderful designers at VDBC. It is well worth the money. $35.00 worth of files for $7.00. They also just released the December Newsletter Here. Go check it out Kitty is giving a free file and has an Etching tut. Great job ladies! Thank You!!
Well I need to go work on some cards. I should get my Christmas cards in the mail. Enjoy Life!

Veterans Day
Hope you all thanks a veteran today. I thanked my hubby (he is the only one I've seen today). I have done thanked others on facebook.
Thanks for your comments! Love them! Still amazed about the voting thing.
I have to work on 3 computers (customers that are here) and my MIL needs updated, next week (she is still on dial up). So big updates are done here or I take them to her, then update. I should get busy but I need some fun time.
Off to work on some cards after lunch, wish me luck, having trouble getting to them.
Enjoy!

Voting and parents
Well I got a post about voting and parents? To tell you what I think, no some schools and parents don't teach this. I know both my school and parents taught me about voting.
Wish schools would teach kids at the high school age at least a semester or quarter about life, voting, checkbooks, credit cards, loans, jobs, family life, maintaining cars and houses. This should be a must for all students, I think!
Sure would help them be more responsible and be accountable!

Vote
Did you remember to go vote? We voted weeks ago by absentee ballot. Hubby wasn't sure if he would be in the state. Well it turned out he is. He got a bid back in his yard for a backhoe operator. He even brought home photos of it on his phone. LOL, don't tell him I laughed. But to me one John Deere backhoe is the same as any backhoe. He is the only one on this team right now, the other positions are still open for bids. So, for now he is helping with yard maintenance, roads or tracks.
Austin is doing great and back to going in and out the doggie door as he pleases. Last night he caught another cat in the garage on his way out. He chased him out to the barn. When I seen him, he was all puffed up. Feels good! We wormed him the other day since he was due. The barn kitties will be due next week and then everyone will be back on the same schedule. Makes it easier with all these barn cats.
Well go vote if you didn't already, many men and women have fought or given up their lives for this right. Including my grandfather, FIL, and hubby. Make them proud and VOTE!

Austin and update
Hello, seems like time has flew by since my last blog post. Not always the best blogger. Been busy with life things, swaps, raffle tickets for the fire departments, vinyl signs, and doctoring Austin. Austin is a barn cat that has decided to be inside the house when he wants to (uses the dogie door). This isn't all bad, he use to go outside to potty but he would bring in birds and mice to share with the 2 house cats. Not alot of fun but at least they all have been dead.
Anyway, Austin had punctured a lung sometime and it got infected. Since he comes and goes and he had only been in lat at night we didn't know he was hurt until one day while napping. We noticed he was breathing really hard. When I touched him he was really really thin. I tried to get him to eat anything but only would eat a few peaces of cut up chicken breast. Not enough to feed a bird either. So the next day I called the vet and took him in. I wanted to know what was wrong and make sure it wasn't something the other 2 would get as well. I had to leave him for some test. Vet called and said all test so far had been negative and the next thing was to insert a needle and see what came out. It was infected blood. He took and xray only to find Austin had 1 lung full of this infection and it had gotten into his chest cavity too. So they sedated him, put in a chest tube to drain this, a feeding tube since he was so thin and weak, and kept him over night. The next day we could take him home and keep him quiet. We had a trip to leave for the next day, so, I stayed home and my husband went to his week in Atlanta for school. Austin has had some bad days and was eating very little. So, vet tells me to feed him anything and everything he will eat. He has been in a cage (dog kennel) with 2 different types for food and water for 2 weeks. He now is allowed out of the cage but has to go in at night for this week and next week we try loose in the house 24/7. He has learned to use the litter boxes, we have 3 now. He is eating tuna fish 2 times a day and dry food at night, I'm sure he should eat ore but this is all we can get into him. Also, takes antibiotics in lunch meat 2 times a day going on week 3 and has 1 more week after this. His staples are all out 2 by Austin and the rest the vet took out. Got a bump in front of them but the vet says in is a healing scar tissue and hopefully it goes away but wont hurt anything. I'm hoping this week we don;t have to go see the vet, been there 1 or 2 times a week since this all happened. The past 2 days have been great days for him, breathing better, begging while we eat, getting up on his window perch (only a foot off the ground), and meowing more and more. He is not better but seems to be on the up hill. Even seems to be finally gaining some weight. Don't we all wish we had to gain weight.
Oh while in Atlanta, someone broke into my car. Stole nothing, not even the $5.00 in change. Just costing me $100 to get it fixed this week. Messed up the lock, door handle, and paint. Insurance is paying for $30, $100 deductible. Thanks Atlanta!
Well thanks for all the well wishes and prayers, they work! Ginger

Dentist
So I went to the dentist today, NOT FUN! I have to go back next week for cavity on the right side, last molar. I swear no matter how much I floss, brush, and rinse, I seem to always get a cavity. Dentist says I have weak enamel. I'm wondering about more crowns (I have one) or even dentures. Oh, I can't believe I said that. Reminds me of a scary man that use to stick his dentures out at us as kids and flap them to get us to move along past his sidewalk. This was on the way to the park playground from the babysitters. Mind we started going to the other side of the road to not deal with him. Which meant crossing it 2 times. Well, I'm almost not numb and should go get some lunch and then work on some swap pages. Have fun and enjoy life! Ginger

Semi lazy Sunday
Today has been a semi lazy Sunday for us. We ran to the grocery store and to the meat market but since then watching moves and my hubby snoring on the couch. I'll have to get him up soon, don;t want him to be up all night. He studied yesterday must be tiring, lol. I did a little work and some digital stuff. Not finish so I can't share. Maybe someday I'll get it done. LOL what am I saying it never is finished.
Just a little reminder, over at VDBC they are getting ready for bingo to start up. So if you want to play get over there and sign up. Think the deadline is August 17th.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Enjoy! Ginger

Card Challenge and more
I finally got some time to play a little to make a fun card. I made this card for robynsfetishchallengeblog using Jan's flip flop card base.
I used my KNK Groove to cut the card base, my copics to color, Copper leaf pen for frame, rhinestones, ribbon, and a flower punch. Now to finish up house chores and fixing other peoples PCs. Maybe then I can really play again.
Don't forget about the August Grab Bag at VDBC.
Oh I almost forgot, we have more barn kittens. One mom has adopted the other mom's babies that she left. Wow, Bucky has 9 babies all under a week old. She is such a great mommy cat.
Back to work, thanks for stopping by. Ginger

Slowly
Hi all! Things have been slowly getting back to a normal. Now what is normal? For us it is the routine of everyday life with a new job and our hobbies. So much fun.
I am hosting Bingo at VDBC this July but it is not starting until the 17th? Unless something changes. This will be a super fast power bingo game about the 4th of July. You know what it's about and how we celebrate it. I have some other bingo's to think about but was hoping to do one sometime about holidays celebrated that are not the USA holidays. So Caz what do you think? I may need some help with your holidays. Hope everyone is enjoying some crafting time. Ginger

Working on things!
I see it has been a while since my last blog. I've been busy working on lots of things here at home. Some yard work, flower/weed pulling, cleaning house, the never ending laundry, feeding the horses, cats and dog. Not much creating going on as of late. Hope tomorrow isn't to hot Friday, I need to mow the yard before I have to bale it. Although the horses like it when I have to sweep it. They get it in the pasture along with the two other neighbors. Not that they do this often but it is better than it sitting along the field and going to waste. I have a video to watch later on some craft stuff. Maybe that will get me out of this funk. Off to go get ready for that video. Enjoy your day! Ginger

New for us
My hubby got his job and school notice last night. He has been hired by CSX and school starts June 14th in Atlanta. He will be there for 3 weeks. Not forever but it will seem longer once he has gone. I have some projects to work on, hope it makes the time go by faster. We have been trying to get things around the house done. Like the driveway resealed, mulched flowerbeds, carpets cleaned, clean up the horse barn and garage, get him a new netbook with software loaded he may need, making sure I have gas for the lawn mower, and much more. On top of all this he has decided I need a new scooter. Which I really do and should have gotten one a year or so ago but you know with his job issue we put it off. So he looked at a Honda Ruckus (think that was it). Anyone have one? I'm looking for something that can go on the sandy grassy ground and still be on road. I liked the fact it has bigger tires than my Yamaha Razz. She has been good to me (30+years). Anyway if anyone has any experience with this please let me know.
I also started helping Alison at the Free Digital Stamp Blog. If you have anything you want posted for a freebie let me know and I'll get you posted. I know she doesn't do much word stamps but loads of great other stamps. Maybe I can get some digital scrapbook and cutting stuff in there? I figured I had a little time and was searching anyway why not help her on the blog. She really does wonders for us, Thanks Alison! So, I'm off to go do some more projects. Enjoy! Ginger

New Card
Hope you all had a great Mothers Day! We did even though my mom is not in Ohio anymore. We did have a tornado go by this past Friday. Thanks god we were on the edge of it and just got some nasty hail. Lots of branches to pick up. Hubby and I did this over the weekend, now the woods is under water so it is not a priority. Had some more around today but not close. Not looking forward to Thursday since it sounds like they will be back. Hope everyone fairs well with them.
I did finally get some time to make a card.
It was fun and I hope you enjoy it! It is a freebie from Sew Many Cards. The paper is double sided camo and the cut file is from I Scrap Designs. I colored the little one with my copics. Love this card, I might just add a sentiment for my FIL for Fathers Day. He is an Army man. Well thanks for reading.
Enjoy! Ginger

More time
Well, I have been busy working on things at home, thought I was only going to have a week to get some stuff done with my hubby. But as luck will have it, we get a few extra weeks. He will know soon on a new job. Finally got to do the last test, now they are waiting for the results. The missed the deadline for this class but may go in the middle of May. OK by me...this way he'll be here for my birthday and mothers day.
One of these days I have to finish loading things in my gallery with the links and convert some files to share for those cutters. But first I should get everything moved and working to the other PC. It is getting there. Seems every time I get going on it I get a frantic call with PC troubles. Back to work I go...Thanks! Ginger

Getting there!
I'm getting there, caught up. Only flowerbeds to go and then just the normal weekly wear laundry. Oh, I forgot my PC move. I just have a few things to finish and re register the knk studio. I'll be glad when that is done. My PC is always last.
If anyone wants to know the knk studio will run on an external hard drive but only on the same pc it is registered with. No swapping which would be awesome but they have to have a catch to get you to buy more licenses.
This months host is Elizabeth, scramper75. I need to go work on the Bingo Spreadsheet, got to get everyone's words in it. Then Elizabeth will just have to click the words she is calling and it will mark them off for her. Love Excel! Have fun and enjoy!

Catching up
Well we had a wonderful trip. Loved spending time with my mom. We even went shopping at Hobby Lobby, which is around the corner from her. Not kidding, she could walk there. It would be shorter than what she use to walk before her knee surgery.
Traffic was horrible on the way down but coming home was fine until Cincy. Then it was cluttered for a while, construction! I even waved to my follower Mel as I passed her exit. Hope to be able to stop and visit next time. Mel is so nice, I even asked her a question on Facebook and she gave me links. Thanks Mel! We all enjoyed them.
So, today I'm trying to catch up on the forums, blogging, unpack, laundry, and flowerbeds. My hubby rolled the yard and put down fertilizer. He did a few other things and tried to nap this evening, going to 3rd shift for 2 weeks. We don't like this but we will deal with it. Well I need a shower and hope to check FB next, then bed.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and grabbed that grab bag. Great value and wonderful files. Enjoy!

PC moving info
Hello, I have a PC here I want to move all my cutter software and files to. Well as you all may know, time just never seems to be on my side. So, I'm trying to get this done very soon. My BIL needs a different PC (he has an dinosaur with 98 on it). I told him if I got this done I'd give him my old but newer than his PC. It is still a p4 with 1 gig of ram. Faster than my hubby's PC but he won't part with his PC. Funny it has IE6 on it and has issues with some web pages but he hates change. He just uses mine of those pages. Which he is finding he needs more often. Maybe he will let me upgrade to 7. Then he can have mine. Good wish for now. Off to work on a few items and then let the moving start. Ginger
